Dorma Huppe ComfortDrive
The University of Toronto Mississauga North Building is a 220,000 sq. ft., six storey plug penthouse that encompasses a mixture of classrooms, student spaces, and faculty offices. Stuart Olson lead the construction of this project which included unique structural and infrastructure requirements for the active learning classrooms and the intricately designed atrium.
Dorma Huppe’s ComfortDrive system was chosen to a large opening spanning 30 feet by 60 feet in the auditorium with custom wood sliding doors with an outstanding Rift Cut Oak finish. The ComfortDrive wall is stacked 3 partitions high and is engineered perfectly so that the wall dances across the room into the designed store locations.
