Technical Information

The Smoke Guard system Model 1000 (M1000) is a fire-rated assembly designed to protect window openings as an element of a fire control system. The M1000 consists of a flexible fire-rated fabric curtain assembly mounted within a steel housing. The curtain is captured vertically on both sides by a guide assembly and is equipped with a bottom bar to seal the curtain at the base.

The system may be ceiling-mounted, but is typically mounted inside a window frame, on a wall over a window, or to a wall. The side guides are secured to the walls on either side of the opening and may be surface mounted or embedded for smooth finish walls. RAL colors available.
